This time, I’ll introduce hotels around Atami with triple rooms that guarantee one bed per person.
Atami is in the far east of Shizuoka Prefecture, easy to reach from central Tokyo, and famous as a hot spring town visited by many great figures, including Tokugawa Ieyasu.
When you think about staying in Atami as a trio, whether for a girls’ trip, a guys’ trip, or a family trip with kids, have you ever struggled to find a hotel with a triple room?
If you stay in a twin room that assumes an extra bed or sofa bed, or in a triple room with two double beds and one single bed, you end up fighting over beds, wanting the person on the worse bed to pay less, swapping beds day by day on multi-night stays, and all sorts of small things can easily turn into trouble.
In this article, I introduce hotels around Atami with triple rooms where each person gets their own bed.

Hotels around Atami with triple rooms
Since 2020, Atami has transformed into a new kind of hot spring town centered on couples and girls’ trips, a far cry from the old corporate group outings, hasn’t it~!
Currently, there are about 80 hotels within 1 km of Atami Station and about 130 within 2 km, so the choices are abundant.
On the other hand, when you search booking sites for “1 room, 3 guests,” extra-bed and sofa-bed rooms get mixed in, or you get split into two rooms, so finding a place where all three can stay equally comfortably takes surprising effort.
So, from Atami’s huge number of hotels, I investigated one by one the inns with “triple rooms with one bed per person.”
I excluded rooms that assume extra beds and Japanese-style rooms, and sorted the hotels from the lowest per-person rate. Use this as a reference for choosing a place to stay so three of you can fully enjoy a girls’ trip or a trip with friends.

To stay at a hotel with a triple room around Atami, you’ll need to choose from the 8 above. Compared with the total number of hotels, that’s less than 10 percent.
The options range from business hotels and city hotels to luxury hotels; the smallest room is 22㎡, and the largest is a luxurious 136㎡ triple room.
For three people sharing one room, 36㎡ or more is generally said to be comfortable, so choose the best hotel for your budget and the occasion.
Prices range from about ¥8,000 to over ¥60,000, and the luxury Atami Pearl Star Hotel costs about ¥62,000 per person per night.
“Hotel New Akao” is about ¥15,000 and, at 55㎡, offers great value and a comfortable stay!

Atami / Izusan Onsen: Onsen Hostel Hinoemi

Atami / Izusan Onsen: Onsen Hostel Hinoemi is about 5 minutes by car (about a 15-minute walk) from Atami Station, a ryokan-style hostel with a hot spring where every room has an ocean view.
On a clear day you can see not only Sagami Bay but also Izu Oshima.
At Atami / Izusan Onsen: Onsen Hostel Hinoemi, the room with three guaranteed beds is the Western-style Deluxe Room.
It’s a hostel, but no other hotel lets you stay in a triple room with three guaranteed beds and breakfast included from ¥5,500 per person per weekday night.
However, this top-floor room is limited to one room. Book early!
If you simply want the lowest price, “Atami / Izusan Onsen: Onsen Hostel Hinoemi” is the only choice!
Three beds are provided, but the room is only 24㎡, so you’ll mostly be spending your time on the beds.
Bringing food and drinks into the room is welcome, but the room is small, so it’s not suited to lounging around and chatting, which is a pity; still, I recommend it to anyone looking for the cheapest hotel.
Breakfast is a buffet, and even on a room-only plan you can use it if you pay ¥500 by 10 p.m. the day before.
Breakfast is mainly Japanese, with potato salad, simmered komatsuna, chikuzen-ni, grilled fish and more. It’s a great deal compared with a convenience-store breakfast, since hotel breakfasts typically run from ¥1,500.

Atami Hotel Pipe no Kemuri
Atami Hotel Pipe no Kemuri is about 10 minutes by car from Atami Station (about 17 minutes by loop bus), a reasonably priced hotel that keeps rates low through self-service.
At Atami Hotel Pipe no Kemuri, the room with three guaranteed beds is the Triple Room.
Of the 97 rooms, there are 10 non-smoking and 7 smoking triple rooms, so booking is easy!
At the foot of the triple beds are a luggage table and two chairs, with a walkway. Sitting on a sofa for a relaxed chat is difficult.
The washbasin, bath, and toilet are in the same area, so it’s the typical business hotel layout.
For dinner there’s a buffet of about 30 dishes that fills both kids and adults, plus public baths for men and women, an open-air bath, and private baths, so the bathing facilities are well equipped.
There are only two private baths, Ume-no-Yu and Sakura-no-Yu, but at ¥700 for 45 minutes they’re a bargain!! They have proper washing stations, too.

Atami Onsen Uomisaki Hotel
Atami Onsen Uomisaki Hotel is run by the Itoen Group and stands right in front of Atami Port, where you can enjoy night views and sea vistas.
At Atami Onsen Uomisaki Hotel, the room with three guaranteed beds is the Western-style Triple.
The size of the triple room isn’t listed even on the official site, so I can’t say exactly, but according to the hotel staff, the rooms are over 10 tatami mats.
In addition to three single beds, there’s a three-seat sofa, a desk table, and two chairs in front of the TV at the back, so you can chat away and relax in the room.
From the public bath and open-air bath you can take in Sun Beach across the way and the Atami townscape, so conversation in the bath is sure to flow!
The building shows its age, but with a separate bath, toilet, and washbasin, it’s a triple room that’s easy to use in many ways!

Atami Onsen Itoen Hotel Atami-kan is run by the Itoen Group and sits in a highly convenient spot just a 2-minute walk from Atami Station, with a public bath using hokutolite and a bedrock bath.
At Atami Onsen Itoen Hotel Atami-kan, the room with three guaranteed beds is the Triple Room.
The triple room has three single beds side by side, but there’s no table, so it’s not suited to drinking in the room.
On the other hand, there’s plenty of space at the foot of the beds, so you won’t have trouble moving around with your luggage spread out.
The main building’s hot spring uses hokutolite, produced in only three places in the world including Taiwan, and is a historic private source even among Atami’s onsen, making it ideal as a stay for hot spring lovers.
Kinomiya Shrine, a power spot, is a 15-minute walk from the hotel, so why not stretch your legs there after checkout the next day!

Hotel New Akao
Hotel New Akao is a landmark of Atami, a famous inn that sparked the Atami travel boom for many years, a long-established resort hotel where every room faces the ocean and you can watch the sun rise from the sea.
Standing at the tip of the scenic Nishikigaura, it was reborn after about two years of renovation starting in 2021 as three guest buildings: the Ocean Wing, the Horizon Wing, and the Spalium Nishiki building.
At Hotel New Akao, the room with three guaranteed beds is the Deluxe Triple in the Ocean Wing.
The Ocean Wing’s Deluxe Triple is a full 55㎡, plenty of space for three, and you can sit in the chairs in the center and keep the conversation going.
The bath, toilet, and washbasin are all separate, so it’s recommended as a slightly luxurious place to stay.
In July 2023, the open-air bath “Namioto” opened in the Ocean Wing. At 5 m above sea level, you can enjoy the hot spring while listening to the dynamic sound of the tide.
From the Ocean Wing lobby you can watch the Atami Sea Fireworks Festival, which is one of a kind!
It’s held more than a dozen times a year, so line up everyone’s schedules and watch the spectacular fireworks together!

La Vista Atami Terrace
La Vista Atami Terrace is an ocean-view resort hotel about an 8-minute walk from Atami Station, operated by Kyoritsu Resort, with an open-air bath with a superb view in every room, and it opened in April 2026.
Located on high ground, it offers a luxurious setting where on clear days you can see not only the panorama of Sagami Bay but all the way to Izu Oshima.
The room that guarantees three beds for three guests is the spacious [With Hot Spring] Sky Triple. In the generous 50㎡ space are two semi-double beds (120 cm wide) and one single bed, so even three adults can stay comfortably without feeling cramped.
Except for some rooms, every room has an open-air bath, and La Vista’s signature free services such as late-night ramen and private baths are also plentiful.
With dinner and breakfast included it’s about ¥40,000 or more per person, a high price, but you can enjoy both the private feel of a high-end ryokan and the functionality of a resort hotel.
For groups who think “if we’re going to Atami, we don’t want to compromise,” La Vista Atami Terrace is the right answer.
The huge 50㎡ room spaciously holds three beds, and as the photos show, it’s an open, airy space where the living area and bedroom are loosely separated.
During the day you can relax on the ocean-view terrace and sofa, and at night sleep soundly until morning while keeping your privacy.
The biggest feature is the “in-room natural hot spring open-air bath (view bath)” where you can have the superb view of Sagami Bay all to yourself.
Time spent gazing at the superb view from a bath that connects to the terrace, undisturbed, is truly the ultimate healing. And two washbasins are provided, so there’s no worry about crowding during morning prep, which is a plus for a trip of three.
