Hello! (@chiropiyo0331) here.
This time I’m introducing “Raku Spa Station Fuchu,” which reopened in December 2024 in Fuchu, Tokyo.
Until October 2024 it operated as the natural hot spring “Jomon no Yu,” but that closed.
And at long last it burst onto the scene as “Raku Spa Station Fuchu”!! 🎇
Joe, who loves hot springs and saunas, actually went, so I’d like to explain thoroughly what kind of place “Raku Spa Station Fuchu” is, including how crowded the sauna and facilities get!!
Basic Info on Raku Spa Station Fuchu

“Raku Spa Station Fuchu,” a 2-minute walk from West Exit 6 of Fuchu Station on the Keio Line, is a bathing facility that opened in December 2024, complete with hot springs, saunas, and a manga corner.
It’s run by Gokurakuyu, which boasts the most locations in Japan and provides high-quality spaces that extend everyday life.

Of course there’s naked bonding, but also conversation over food and relaxation in a Japanese-style space,
and a space that brings all of that out to the fullest is the best, right!
Location of Raku Spa Station Fuchu
It’s very conveniently located, a 2-minute walk from Fuchu Station on the Keio Line, and offers a variety of services, including a large sauna, hot springs, 20,000 manga volumes, and a restaurant.

If you’re relying on trains and buses, bathing facilities have to be within a 3-minute walk of the station! lol

Inside Raku Spa Station Fuchu

Now, a tour of the inside of “Raku Spa Station Fuchu”!
Reception is on the 6th floor of the building, so I took the elevator up to the 6th floor.
Since it had just opened, there were phalaenopsis orchids right in front of me.

Turn right and there’s a wooden shoe locker corner right away.
There are big phalaenopsis orchids all over the place!

Right in front was the reception for general admission.
Gokurakuyu holds various collaboration events, and at this time the “Oshi no Ko” collaboration was running!
It seems that if you buy the admission fee plus the Oshi no Yu Meguri Plus set, you get a collaboration-exclusive muffler towel.

The lounge wear and towel set are at the back of reception.
Rest assured, they’re always included in the admission fee!
There’s only one lounge wear design, but various sizes are available.

“Raku Spa Station Fuchu” occupies floors 6 through 12, with reception on the 6th floor.
The men’s locker room is on the 12th floor and the women’s locker room is on the 9th floor, so if you come as a mixed group, meet up on the 7th or 8th floor.

As soon as you step out of the elevator, you can see the bath noren curtain leading to the locker room.
The Japanese-style design makes for a calming space.
Locker Room at Raku Spa Station Fuchu

The locker rooms at Raku Spa Station Fuchu are separated by gender: men on the 12th floor and women on the 9th floor.
Take the elevator up from the reception on the 6th floor!
Use the locker with the number written on the wristband you received at reception.

The lockers are quite large and come with two hangers, so even a bit of luggage fits easily.
The men’s bath and sauna connected to the locker room are on the 11th floor, and the women’s bath and mist sauna are on the 10th floor.
You go up and down the stairs completely naked and head into the bath.
Baths at Raku Spa Station Fuchu

Raku Spa Station Fuchu has natural hot spring “kuroyu” (black water) rising from about 1,000 m underground, plus a daily-changing bath and a cold plunge.
Sauna at Raku Spa Station Fuchu

The sauna at Raku Spa Station Fuchu is a large one that holds about 30 people.
The temperature is 83°C to 90°C, with auto loyly at 00 and 30 minutes past every hour.
On the left as you enter, three cylindrical stone stoves reign, and when it’s time for the auto loyly, the lights come on and a loyly of about 30 seconds and a bazooka loyly of about 2 minutes start.
If you take it lightly, it’s really hot, so be careful!
It would have been perfect if there had been an aroma mist or similar scent, so that’s a shame.
The women’s bath has a mist sauna full of steam, and with its slightly lower temperature setting it doesn’t have the stuffy feeling of a dry sauna.
Cooling-Off Space at Raku Spa Station Fuchu
There are 9 totonoi chairs in the indoor bath and 4 outdoors.
Compared to the size of the sauna, that’s less than half, so after the bazooka loyly they can fill up.
Lounge at Raku Spa Station Fuchu

On the 8th floor of Raku Spa Station Fuchu are a lounging area (gorogoro area), a reclining area, a family area, and a lounge, all usable by both men and women.
More than 20,000 comic volumes, including the latest manga, are kept on permanent display!!
There’s also a rest lounge lined with reclining chairs so you can relax after the bath.

There’s also a women-only reclining area on the 9th floor!

It has chairs and tables too, so if you want to chat with friends, this is the place.

Manga, manga, manga everywhere.
I wonder if you can take the manga on the upper shelves.
It’s nice that you can lounge around anywhere.
Dining Area at Raku Spa Station Fuchu

On the 7th floor of Raku Spa Station Fuchu is “Keyaki Dining Raku,” where you can eat.
Udon made with 100% Hokkaido wheat, served every day with a delicious freshly made broth!
A restaurant where you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, starting with creative udon.

After the sauna, it’s sauna food time!! Recharge your energy properly.
I ordered the “Tuna, Salmon, and Avocado Veggie Bowl Rice ~ Hawaiian Poke Sauce ~”, 1,310 yen including tax.
It came with a small udon, but it was just a small amount of udon and wheat gluten (fu) in one cup, more of a token extra.
The avocado, salmon, and tuna were delicious, but as a post-sauna meal it felt a little lacking…

There are lots of other café dishes and vegetable-supporting dishes, so it seems likely to be popular with women!
For guys who love sauna and want to eat a hearty amount, it may be so-so overall.

On the other hand, soft drinks are dirt cheap at the 200-yen range!!
Even the mega size is 400 yen, comparable to a drink in Tokyo.
Coworking Space at Raku Spa Station Fuchu

On the 7th floor, where the dining area is, there are four freely usable desks with power outlets.
You can concentrate without worrying about being seen, so studying or working should go smoothly!

The movable desk chairs are brand new and comfortable to sit in.
I think carpet would have been better than flooring.
Crowding at Raku Spa Station Fuchu
Raku Spa Station Fuchu, with excellent access just a 2-minute walk from Fuchu Station!
So which days and times does it get crowded?
Raku Spa Station Fuchu gets crowded from the afternoon into the evening on weekends and holidays, but it’s never so crowded that the sauna, relaxation rooms, or restaurant are full and unusable.
On weekdays, you should be able to use it quite comfortably.
I actually went on the first day of a three-day weekend, and the facility wasn’t crowded; the hot springs, sauna, and rest areas were all comfortable to use!

The sauna holds about 30 people, so it’s recommended for those who definitely want to get in without waiting!
Admission Fees at Raku Spa Station Fuchu

When it’s in a convenient spot right by the station, what you wonder about is the price, right~.
| Adult (junior high school age and up) | Child (age 4 up to elementary school) | |
| Weekdays | 2,000 yen | 1,300 yen |
| Weekends and Holidays | 2,400 yen | 1,600 yen |
| Late-night surcharge Fri, Sat, days before holidays | +2,300 yen Added automatically after 1:00 a.m. | |
| Morning bath 6:00–8:00 Sat, Sun, holidays | 1,200 yen | |
Prices differ between weekdays and weekends/holidays, and the cheapest is the morning bath: enter between 6:00 and 8:00 for 1,200 yen!
However, last admission is at 7:00, so be careful.
On weekdays you can use it for 2,000 yen for adults, but on weekends and holidays it’s 400 yen more.
With prices at bathing facilities in Tokyo sometimes topping 4,000 yen on weekends and holidays, Raku Spa Station Fuchu is cheap.

It isn’t time-limited, has natural hot spring “kuroyu,” and offers 20,000 manga to read freely, so this price is more than satisfactory!
Discount Tickets and Coupons for Raku Spa Station Fuchu
I couldn’t find any discount tickets or coupons for Raku Spa Station Fuchu, but as a trick, you can get in cheaper by using shareholder benefit tickets from Gokurakuyu, which operates Raku Spa Station Fuchu!!
They’re frequently listed on Mercari, so you can reliably get them, and I highly recommend it!!

When cheap on Mercari, you can buy 6 Gokurakuyu shareholder benefit tickets for 3,100 yen.

Raku Spa Station Fuchu requires 2 shareholder benefit tickets, but even so that’s about 1,000 yen!!
And they can be used on weekends and holidays too, so you effectively get in for less than half price, a great deal.
My Impressions After Actually Using It

This time I spent half a day at Raku Spa Station Fuchu!!
Reborn as Raku Spa Station Fuchu, with many spaces renovated, it was a luxurious time that refreshed both heart and body.
The spacious large bath lets you enjoy a variety of waters, and the carbonated spring in particular gently soothed my tired body.
In the stylish relaxation space, you can enjoy reading or napping, and you naturally slip into relax mode.
On the other hand, the dining area gave the impression of being so-so as sauna food, but the staff were kind and reassuring!
I felt it’s a spot perfect for people who want to forget the hustle and bustle of daily life and refresh.
