Hi there! This is (@chiropiyo0331).
I looked for rooms in Tokyo where three people can stay with three beds, and checked hotels one by one.
Tokyo packs in sights, from the old-town strolls of Asakusa and Ueno to the stylish areas of Tokyo Station, Nihonbashi, and Ginza.
There are plenty of occasions for three people to stay in Tokyo: a girls’ trip of three friends, a carefree trip for three guys, a mother-daughter-grandmother getaway, or an outing for a family of three.
However, when you search for “1 room, 3 guests” on booking sites, you get twin rooms with an extra bed added, or rooms where one bed is smaller than the others.
Have you ever had someone end up on the makeshift bed, leading to squabbles or taking turns each night?

Do You Have These Troubles When Looking for a Triple Room?
Troubles common everywhere when looking for a triple room
1. There are few options to begin with.
Business hotels mainly have rooms for one or two people, and only some hotels have rooms where three can stay.
2. Bed fairness and quality vary.
With extra-bed or sofa-bed rooms, it’s easy to get awkward over “who sleeps on the makeshift bed?”
3. The room is cramped and there’s nowhere to put luggage.
Adding a bed to a twin room shrinks the floor space, leaving no room to open a suitcase.
4. The bathroom becomes a bottleneck.
With just one unit bath, the three of you have to queue up for the morning routine.
5. Booking sites make the conditions hard to understand.
Even when it says “up to 3 guests,” it may include a child sharing a bed, or a combination of a double and a single.
Troubles specific to Tokyo
1. Many rooms are compact and tend to be even smaller.
Of the 15 hotels found this time, 2 had rooms of 20㎡ or less, and 10 had rooms under 30㎡.
2. Opinions split over which area to choose.
The three of you may not agree between the old-town feel of Ueno and Asakusa, the city center of Tokyo Station, Nihonbashi, and Ginza, or a place close to Nippori Station.
3. Prices differ enormously by area.
The 15 hotels this time ranged from ¥5,300 to ¥26,850 per person, about a 5x difference between the cheapest and the most expensive.
4. The bathroom setup is hard to tell.
Only 2 hotels were confirmed on their official sites as having a fully separate bath, toilet, and vanity, 7 were listed as unit baths, and for the remaining 6 no bathroom information could be found, so they need confirmation.
5. Many hotels have no parking even near stations.
Of the 15 hotels this time, 7 are listed on their official sites as having no parking (including no dedicated parking).
In this article, from hotels around Tokyo Station, Nihonbashi, Ginza, Tsukiji, Hatchobori, Ueno, Asakusa, and Nippori (including Uguisudani), I researched 15 with triple rooms that guarantee three beds.
You can check size and price in the cards and the quick-reference table, the bathroom setup in the comparison table under “Details,” and each area’s characteristics in “Trends I Found.”
Rooms that rely on extra beds or sofa beds, as well as Japanese-style and Japanese-Western rooms, are excluded.
Hotels with Triple Rooms in Tokyo
I researched hotels around Tokyo Station, Nihonbashi, Ginza, Tsukiji, Hatchobori, Ueno, Asakusa, and Nippori (including Uguisudani) one by one.
Even if you search “1 room, 3 guests” on a travel booking site, the list doesn’t tell you whether the beds are three proper beds or an extra bed.
So I checked the number and width of beds in each room on the official sites and Rakuten Travel, and kept only hotels with rooms that guarantee three beds.

*Prices are the lowest per-person rates confirmed on Rakuten Travel as of October 11, 2026 (no dates specified, 3 guests in 1 room).
Accommodation tax is separate and varies by date.

Survey Results for Triple Rooms in Tokyo
The survey found 15 hotels where three beds could be confirmed.
Sizes ranged from 18㎡ to 46㎡ (median 28.1㎡), and the lowest price per person ranged from ¥5,300 to ¥26,850 (median ¥11,500).
For three people to spread out their luggage with room to spare, 36㎡ or more is a good guide.

Tokyo has more “three-bed” options than I expected.
All that’s left is to choose which you prioritize: price, size, or bathroom setup!
Trends I Found
1. Ueno and Uguisudani are all under ¥10,000.
All 3 hotels in Ueno and Uguisudani are under ¥10,000 (¥5,300 to ¥9,400), with a median of ¥5,800.
On the other hand, the 2 hotels in Ginza and Tsukiji run ¥16,605 to ¥26,850, with none under ¥10,000.
2. Wanting more space makes the price jump.
The 7 hotels under ¥10,000 ranged from 18㎡ to 31㎡.
Of the 5 hotels with 30㎡ or more, only Langwood is under ¥10,000, and the other 4 run ¥16,974 to ¥26,850.
3. 110 cm is the most common bed width.
110 cm × 3 was the most common with 5 hotels, followed by 120 cm × 3 with 4, rooms with mixed widths with 3, 90 cm × 3 with 2, and 100 cm × 3 with 1.
Both of the 90 cm hotels are 20㎡ or less (18㎡ and 19㎡).
4. Even within the same city-center area, prices vary widely.
Even the 6 hotels in the most crowded area, Tokyo Station, Nihonbashi, Hatchobori, and Kyobashi, range from ¥6,600 to ¥23,260, about a 3.5x difference.
5. Both hotels with separate bathrooms are in the Nihonbashi area.
The two confirmed to have a fully separate bath, toilet, and vanity are Ningyocho and Mitsukoshimae.
[By Purpose] If You’re Staying in Tokyo with Three, Start Here!
If you want to stay as cheaply as possible
Hotel MyStays Ueno Iriyaguchi (from ¥5,300, 24㎡), Hotel MyStays Ueno East (from ¥5,800, 28㎡), and Hotel Sardonyx Tokyo (from ¥6,600, 27㎡) are the cheapest tier this time.
If you want matching bed widths, Ueno East with 110 cm × 3 and Sardonyx with 120 cm × 3 are the candidates.
Iriyaguchi has one bed that’s only 100 cm wide, so I recommend taking turns.
If you want to spread out and relax with three (size first)
The only room of 36㎡ or more is at Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji (from ¥26,850, 46㎡).
If the 30㎡ range is fine even without reaching 36㎡, Art Hotel Nippori Langwood (from ¥8,100, 31㎡) is affordable, and Asakusa Tobu Hotel (from ¥16,974, 35㎡) is the closest in size to 36㎡.
If you want a separate bath and toilet
The official site says Via Inn Prime Nihombashi Ningyocho (from ¥8,500, 29㎡) has a fully separate bath, vanity, and toilet.
Mitsui Garden Hotel Nihonbashi Premier (from ¥16,929, 26.4㎡) is also listed with “three-way separation” in its room list.
If you’d rather choose by area, I’ve put it together in the earlier “Sightseeing Access Quick-Reference Table.”
Details on each hotel follow under each hotel’s heading below.
Details
The reason triple rooms are hard to find is that the number and width of beds and the bathroom setup are hard to tell from booking sites’ lists.
So I put together a comparison table of bathroom setups based on the official sites.
“Unit bath” is how the official site describes it; since there’s no information on whether the vanity and toilet are in the same space, I’ve marked it as to be confirmed.
| Hotel name | Lowest price per person | Bath | Vanity | Toilet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hotel MyStays Ueno Iriyaguchi | From ¥5,300 | Unit bath | To be confirmed | To be confirmed |
| Hotel MyStays Ueno East | From ¥5,800 | Unit bath | To be confirmed | To be confirmed |
| Hotel Sardonyx Tokyo | From ¥6,600 | Unit bath | To be confirmed | To be confirmed |

| Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji | From ¥26,850 | To be confirmed | To be confirmed | To be confirmed |
*“To be confirmed” marks items for which no information could be found on the official site.
Nihonbashi Premier’s “separate” is judged from the hotel-wide “three-way separation” notation.

Only 2 hotels were confirmed to have separate bathrooms.
If you’re concerned about the morning routine, choosing Via Inn or Premier is reassuring.
Hotel MyStays Ueno Iriyaguchi

Hotel MyStays Ueno Iriyaguchi is a hotel 3 minutes on foot from Inaricho Station and 5 minutes on foot from the Iriyaguchi Exit of JR Ueno Station.
It has 97 rooms, and its feature is a mini kitchen and microwave in each room.

At Hotel MyStays Ueno Iriyaguchi, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Deluxe Triple.
From ¥5,300 per person, it’s the cheapest of the 15 hotels this time.
The beds are two 110 cm and one 100 cm, a combination where just one bed is 10 cm narrower.
The size is 24㎡, a little smaller than the median of the 15 hotels (28.1㎡).
The bathroom is listed as a unit bath, and the arrangement of the vanity and toilet wasn’t stated on the official site.

At Hotel MyStays Ueno East, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Standard Triple.
From ¥5,800 per person, with a size of 28㎡.
All three beds are 110 cm wide, so all three of you sleep with the same comfort.
Getting “28㎡” and “110 cm × 3” at this price is quite a bargain among the 15 hotels.
The bathroom is listed as a unit bath, and the official room description says “larger bathroom.”

The first one to look at for anyone who wants both low price and equal beds.

The official site introduces it as a “Family Triple” (the page name is Triple Room), with a note that “some rooms differ.”
The bathroom is listed as a “unit bath (with bathtub),” and the arrangement of the vanity and toilet wasn’t stated.

It has 80 rooms, and this Standard Triple is its only triple room.

At Hotel Amanek Asakusa Ekimae, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Standard Triple.
From ¥7,710 per person, with an official size of 18㎡ and three 90 cm-wide beds.
It’s a compact room fitting three beds into 18㎡, so it suits trips with light luggage.
The official site clearly states that the bath, vanity, and toilet with washing function are combined into a single three-fixture unit.
Rakuten Travel lists 19㎡, but here I’ve used the official 18㎡.

The location and price are attractive, but you’ll need to accept the size.

It has 134 rooms, and on the 6th floor there’s a fitness gym that guests can use for free.

At Art Hotel Nippori Langwood, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Superior Triple.
From ¥8,100 per person, with a size of 31㎡ and three 110 cm-wide beds.
This is the only hotel of the 15 that reaches the 30㎡ range for under ¥10,000.
The bathroom is described as having a unit bath.
Note that the hotel’s own official site lists only bed widths, and I confirmed the number of beds (3) on the operating company’s room page.

A hidden gem for those who want size but need to keep the budget down.
It’s hard to find 31㎡ at this price.

At Via Inn Prime Nihombashi Ningyocho, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Triple.
From ¥8,500 per person, with a size of 29㎡ and three single-size beds, 100 cm wide.
The official site says “the vanity is also separate,” and I confirmed that the bath, vanity, and toilet are all separate.
The strength of this bathroom setup is that the three of you are less likely to queue up in the morning.
There’s no large public bath, so the style is to take your time in the bath in your room.

A triple room with a separate bathroom is rare even among the 15 hotels.
If you want to avoid the morning bottleneck, this is the one.

The beds are two 105 cm-wide and one 100 cm-wide, with slightly different widths.
The arrangement of the bath and vanity isn’t stated on the official room page, so the bathroom setup is to be confirmed.

It’s reassuring to secure three beds right in front of Tokyo Station.
The bed width difference is just a few centimeters, so it’s fine for anyone who doesn’t mind.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza-Gochome is a hotel 1 minute on foot from Higashi-Ginza Station, where you can stay in the heart of the Ginza area.
On the 2nd floor there’s a guests-only large public bath (free) and a fitness gym.

At Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza-Gochome, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Superior Triple.
From ¥16,605 per person, with a size of 28.1㎡ and a layout of three beds and a sofa.
I confirmed a bed width of 110 cm from materials at the time of opening, but couldn’t confirm a width on the current official room page.
The bathroom setup isn’t stated on the official site either, so it’s marked to be confirmed.

For those who want to stay in Ginza and ease their fatigue in the large public bath.

On the 9th floor there’s a guests-only large public bath (free).

At Mitsui Garden Hotel Nihonbashi Premier, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Superior Triple.
From ¥16,929 per person, with a size of 26.4㎡ and three 110 cm-wide beds.
The official site’s room list says “bath, toilet, vanity: three-way separation,” and since the Superior Triple is covered, I judged the bathroom setup to be separate.
Note that this three-way separation is a hotel-wide notation, not a per-room-type listing.

Separate bathroom setup, and a large public bath too.
It’s the top pick for a comfort-first trip of three.

All rooms are non-smoking, and there is coin laundry on the 7th, 11th, and 13th floors.

At Asakusa Tobu Hotel, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Deluxe Triple.
From ¥16,974 per person, with a size of 35㎡ and three beds 120 cm wide (203 cm long).
35㎡ is just 1㎡ short of the 36㎡ guide, and the second largest of the 15 hotels this time after Tsukiji.
The official site says “bathroom with washing area,” and the arrangement of the vanity and toilet wasn’t stated.
The same hotel’s 25㎡ “Comfort Triple” isn’t listed because I couldn’t confirm a three-bed configuration.

Good for those who want to use Asakusa as a base and relax in a spacious room as three.

It has 135 rooms, and the last check-in is until 24:00.

At Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Triple.
From ¥17,600 per person, with a size of 32.7㎡.
The beds are two 120 cm-wide and one 110 cm-wide, a combination where just one bed is 10 cm narrower.
The official site says only “unit bath” for the bathroom setup.
It’s easy to use for the Shinkansen crowd arriving late.

A spacious triple room within walking distance of Tokyo Station is rare.
One bed is a little narrower, so I recommend taking turns on that one.

Breakfast is a Japanese-Western buffet, and the coin laundry is on the 3rd floor.

At Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyobashi, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Superior Triple.
From ¥23,260 per person, with a size of 31.7㎡ and three 110 cm-wide beds.
Even among Mitsui Garden Hotels, the three-way separation is listed only for a different room type, and the Superior Triple has no such notation.
So the bathroom setup is marked to be confirmed.
It’s close to Tokyo Station, a location easy to use for stays before or after a Shinkansen trip.

Three equal beds within walking distance of Tokyo Station.
For three with some room in the budget.

At Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji, the room with 3 guaranteed beds is the Deluxe Triple.
From ¥26,850 per person, the most expensive of the 15 hotels this time, but in return it’s the largest at 46㎡, well above the 36㎡ guide.
In addition to three 122 cm-wide beds there’s a sofa bed for one guest, and the official capacity is 4.
The room is also listed with cooking utensils, making it suitable for longer stays.
The official site carries a note saying “due to construction on the neighboring lot, you cannot see the view outside,” so please check that as well before booking.

If you put size and comfort first, this 46㎡ is the top candidate.
