[Beds Guaranteed] Perfect for Girls’ Trips and Family Travel! Hotels with Triple Rooms in Seoul, Korea

Girls' trip ②
Joe

Hi there! I’m Joe (@chiropiyo0331).

This time, I’ll introduce hotels around Seoul with triple rooms where each guest is guaranteed their own bed.

There are many direct flights from Japan to Seoul, and the flight time is only about two and a half hours, so it’s easy to travel there on a whim!

Korea is known as a beauty powerhouse, with plenty of spas, beauty clinics, and cosmetics shops, making it a popular destination for girls’ trips too.

Have you ever struggled to find a hotel in Seoul that guarantees one bed per person?

On a girls’ trip with three people, you don’t want to end up without one bed per person, stuck in a room with two double beds, or with one person sleeping on an extra bed or sofa bed, leading to silly arguments that ruin the whole travel mood.

In this article, I’ll introduce hotels in Seoul with triple rooms where each guest has their own bed.

Hotels in Seoul with Three Beds in One Room Are Rare

Hotels in Seoul with 3 beds in one room are rare — great for girls' trips

When you hear “triple room,” you probably imagine a room with three beds in it, right?

In Japan, there’s an expression about sleeping “river-style,” reflecting how families often sleep together in one room. Overseas, though, it’s different. People abroad are typically given their own room and bed from childhood, and they usually sleep alone at night.

So at hotels abroad, a “triple room” usually means three separate rooms, each with one bed (i.e., a 3-bedroom unit).

A 3-bedroom unit is naturally larger, which drives up the room rate, and if everyone’s in separate rooms, it’s hard to enjoy the hotel stay together the way you’d hoped.

So this time, I searched high and low.

List of Hotels Around Seoul with Triple Rooms

The I SEOUL U monument and fountain in front of Seoul City Hall Plaza

There are actually more than 600 hotels around Seoul that can accommodate three people.

But when you search for a room for three on an overseas travel booking site, you’ll get rooms with one king bed, or two doubles plus one queen.

That might be fine for a family of three, but for a girls’ trip with friends, it’s not exactly comfortable.

So I checked hotels around Seoul one by one to see which ones offer triple rooms with a bed for each guest, and organized the results into a table.

Since overseas travel tends to be more tiring than domestic travel, and travelers tend to want a certain grade of hotel, we surveyed hotels rated 4 stars or higher. *As a precondition, we excluded hotels that use extra beds or sofa beds, hotels with 3 beds but a capacity of 4 or more guests, and vacation homes.

There were 9 hotels in Seoul rated 4 stars or higher with triple rooms where each guest is guaranteed their own bed. The hotels below are listed in order of lowest price.

Compared to other travel sites, Expedia had the lowest price for nearly every hotel.

Seoul is one of the most hotel-dense, competitive areas in all of Korea!!

If you want a hotel that guarantees one bed per person in a single room for three, you’ll need to choose from the 9 listed above.

Here’s a map showing where these 9 hotels are located.

If cheap is your top priority: Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun

Exterior view of the high-rise Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun building
Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun (image from Expedia)

The most affordable 4-star hotel in Seoul with triple rooms where each guest is guaranteed their own bed is Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun.

In the off-season, you can stay for around ¥14,000 a night, which works out to a jaw-dropping under ¥5,000 per person when split three ways!

That said, the room is 26㎡, a bit tight for three people, but as long as your travel companions are on board, it’s not a problem!

It’s about a 5-minute walk from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (subway lines 2, 4, and 5), which is also the landmark park of Dongdaemun, so access is far from bad.

If location is what matters most: Royal Hotel Seoul near Myeongdong

Exterior entrance of Royal Hotel Seoul near Myeongdong
Royal Hotel Seoul (image from Expedia)

There are several popular base areas for exploring Seoul, but Myeongdong is the most popular by far.

With features like these, it’s also an ideal base for first-time visitors to Korea.

Royal Hotel Seoul is a 5-minute walk from Myeongdong Station, and it’s also within walking distance of Dongdaemun Market, one of the largest markets in the world, and Namdaemun Market, known for traditional Korean crafts and food.

Quick-Reference Table: Nearby Sights & Food for Each Triple-Room Hotel

The biggest key to a successful trip to Seoul with three people is securing “one bed per person” while also figuring out how easily you can get to the places you want to visit.

It would be such a waste if your trip left you with a sore body from an extra bed, or exhausted just from getting around.

So I put together a table, organized by each hotel’s base area, showing “nearby Instagram-popular spots and food you can walk to” and “Instagram-popular spots within a 30-minute train or bus ride.”

Use this to find the perfect base for your travel goals.

Hotels in Seoul with Triple Rooms

Trips for three come in many forms — not just girls’ trips, but family travel with kids, a filial trip with dad, mom, and daughter, or a getaway with three friends.

The hard part is finding the right triple room!

Hotels in Seoul rarely have three beds in one room, and many aren’t very practical for groups of three — but if you search one by one, you can find triple rooms that guarantee a bed for each person.

This time, I’ll go through the details of the hotels I’ve picked out.

Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun

Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun is run by Parnas Hotel Co., a hotel-specialist company, and it’s a modern hotel located in Dongdaemun, the heart of Seoul’s fashion scene.

It’s a 5-minute walk from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, where three subway lines meet. You can get there from Gimpo Airport without transferring, and it’s handy that you can reach Hongdae, Seongsu, and Myeongdong on a single line too!

Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun (image from Expedia)
Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun (image from Expedia)

At Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun, the room type that guarantees three beds is the Standard Triple Room.

Among hotels guaranteeing three beds, it’s the cheapest, but at only 26㎡, three guests will basically end up spending their time on the beds.

With large suitcases, you’ll have to keep them standing upright at all times, which is a bit inconvenient, but if you want to travel on a budget, this hotel is a solid recommendation.
